The European Association AISE emphasizes:
Ethanol is the powerful, essential and safe ingredient in the biocidal products that help stop the spread of infectious diseases. If the proposed stricter classification on the EU level would be adopted, this would mean a de facto ban on ethanol-based hand sanitisers, disinfectants, and antiseptics. Over 800 signatories call for decision-makers to act now to prevent that ban for the sake of Europe’s health, economy, and public trust. National competent authorities that are involved at EU level in the process of revising the classification of ethanol are also invited to reconsider this matter. More >>>.
